More everyday records, now on the Web
- Expense templates: save an amount and category in Money, then review them before recording your next expense.
- Prepare for plans: add a budget and checklist to a dated plan or task. Link expenses, shopping and memories. Reserved budgets reduce the daily allowance without counting linked expenses twice.
- Memories: keep a date, note, place and optional photo from the Memories icon on Home.
- Search records: use the search icon at the top to find spending, plans and lists by keyword.
- CSV export: download spending or plans for a spreadsheet from Settings & help.
Memory photos and notes stay in this browser and are not sent to a server. Photos are resized and re-encoded locally; the original photo file is unchanged. Searches also run in the browser.
The money and plans JSON backup includes expense templates and preparations. Export and import memory photos and notes separately in Memories (up to 9 MB per file). Export them before clearing browser data, which also deletes saved memories. There is no automatic sync between devices. CSV files cannot restore your data.
Apple on-device AI, receipt text recognition, widgets, Siri and the iPhone full backup remain features of compatible app versions.

Memories and data in the iPhone app
These features require a supporting version of the iPhone app. Availability depends on the version installed and rollout through the App Store or TestFlight. These are separate from the web version’s features.
How do I save a memory?
Open Memories on Home and choose “Add a memory”. Save a title and date with one optional photo, notes and a place. A photo is not required. “Save & add a memory” in a plan’s editor links the memory to that plan. The app stores a resized copy of the photo and leaves the original unchanged.
Can I keep a plan’s budget and checklist together?
Use “Budget & packing” in a dated plan or task created in the app. Related expenses and upcoming payments reduce the unused amount set aside, avoiding double deduction from the monthly budget. You can leave this section empty when you do not need it.
Does deleting a memory also delete the original photo or plan?
It deletes that memory and its photo copy in the app. It does not delete the original in Photos, linked plans or expenses, or previously exported backups. Manage or delete backup copies separately at their saved location. Visible photo content and the place or notes you enter are also included in exported files.
Can I move my photos to a new iPhone too?
In a supporting iPhone version, choose “Save full backup” under Full Kurashi OS backup to save finances in all currencies, plans, lists, memory photos, wallpaper and settings in one file. Select iCloud Drive or another destination yourself. On the new device, choose “Import from backup”, review and import. Existing records with the same IDs and settings already configured are not overwritten. Use the legacy backup section for web or older files; those do not include Memories or wallpaper. There is no automatic sync. Keep the original records and file until you have checked the transfer.
Records stay on your device. Memories are not automatically published to other users. Saving a backup to iCloud Drive is a manual choice of destination, not automatic synchronization.

Q & A
Common questions
What is Kurashi OS? Is it the same as Kurashi Board?+
Kurashi Board has a new name and design: Kurashi OS. It is a free web app that brings budgeting, plans, weather, and shopping lists together, with no sign-up required. It works in a browser on iPhone or Android. It does not replace your device's operating system. When you use the same URL in the same browser, your existing records carry over.
Can I still use the previous screen and my records?+
At the same URL in the same browser, your budget, plans, location, colors, and notification time remain available. You can also open the previous screen from Advanced mode in Settings. AI chat, payment app shortcuts, and expense search are available in Advanced mode.
Will notifications arrive automatically?+
Saving notification settings alone does not enable notifications. Open the event file with reminders in your device's calendar and add it there. Any morning event you have already added will keep working. Edits and deletions on the board are not automatically reflected in your calendar.
How is Estimated spending left today calculated?+
The new board subtracts recorded expenses and unpaid scheduled payments due this month or earlier from your monthly budget, then divides the remainder by the days left, including today, to show a daily estimate. View the breakdown in Money. In Advanced mode, Estimated spending left today subtracts that day's expenses from the day's estimate.
Will a scheduled payment be deducted twice when I pay it?+
On the new board, choose Paid on a scheduled payment, check the date and amount, and save it to move it to expenses. The payment and expense are linked so the amount is not deducted twice. Entering a separate expense manually would count it twice, so record it from the scheduled payment.
What should I do if I see a message that my data was not saved?+
On the new board, keep the entry screen open, check your device's free storage and storage settings, then try again. If another tab caused a conflict, make a note of your entry before checking the latest records. In Advanced mode, you may be able to back up unsaved records shown on screen.
Do I need to sign up or log in?+
No. Just open the page to start. Enter a budget to see today's spending estimate. You can change the weather location later.
Does it connect to bank accounts or credit cards?+
No. It does not read balances or statements. You manually record the expenses you need.
Can I use it if I find it hard to keep expense records?+
You can start with the expenses you need to track. Unrecorded expenses are not deducted automatically, though. Adjust your monthly budget and expense records from time to time to reflect your actual situation. Monthly budget should be the total amount you plan to spend that month.
Do I need to photograph every receipt?+
No. You can record just an amount, and quickly add amounts you use often. There is no receipt photography or scanning feature.
Where are my budget and plans saved?+
They are saved in the browser you use. Clearing your browser's stored data may delete them, so create a backup in Settings before changing or resetting your device.
Does my data sync automatically to another device?+
No. To move it to another device, use Backup and Restore in Settings.
Does the weather feature use an internet connection?+
Yes. It connects to external data providers for weather, location search, and rain radar. Your budget and plans are not used to fetch the weather.
Are AI prompts sent automatically?+
No. You review the information included and the prompt. It is sent only when you choose to copy or share it, or agree to the confirmations and press the button to ask directly. Do not include names, addresses, or secrets in the prompt.
Can I use it like an app on iPhone or Android?+
Yes. From Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android, choose the option to add it to your home screen or install it. You can then open it from your home screen.
Does it read payment histories from apps such as PayPay?+
No. On supported devices, you can use a button to open a payment app, but Kurashi OS does not retrieve balances, purchase details, or payment histories.
Is it free to use?+
The current web version is free. Future changes will be announced in the changelog or similar notices.
What to know
Local budget storage does not mean no internet access
Your budget and plans are saved in your browser. Weather, location search, and optional AI chat features still need an internet connection. The privacy page explains what each feature sends.
